I try to stay mindful of the stuff that gets published, but as I buy fewer things these days, it can prove somewhat challenging to see what's falling through those cracks.

New Mr. Monster adventures being one that I would not wanna miss out on, so here I go a-hunting again!

Do appreciate the positive comments on the Catacombs. The hiatus has taken longer than intended, but I do plan on getting back into the groove sooner rather than later.Chuck Wellshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04529750105224374839noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6066888134509330432.post-62595341269350327392013-02-18T08:38:47.500-05:002013-02-18T08:38:47.500-05:00Thanks, Chuck. And Mr. Monster IS back!
There are ...Thanks, Chuck. And Mr. Monster IS back!
There are new Mr. Monster stories (written, drawn and colored by me) in the new color Dark Horse Presents #1-3 and 17. Also upcoming in Dark Horse Presents (possibly beginning issue #26) is a four-chapter 34 page "Evil Twin" story, "Dark Stearn."

And right now I'm working on sequel to that one featuring one of Basil Wolverton's greatest monsters. It's called "Mr. Monster vs the Brain Bats of Venus!"

And congratulations on a great site, Chuck!Doccomixhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16484184396575779728noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6066888134509330432.post-87318458320363161062013-02-18T07:35:41.170-05:002013-02-18T07:35:41.170-05:00I have no idea where I originally got that incorre...I have no idea where I originally got that incorrect information, and I apologize for the gaffe.

Let me take this opportunity to say "hello" to Mr. Gilbert for stopping by the Catacombs, and consider this a heartfelt plea to bring back Mr. Monster ANY OLDE TIME (like "NOW") - big fan here - and it makes me sad that I've not had a chance to say so in person [keeping my fingers crossed on that one].Chuck Wellshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04529750105224374839noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6066888134509330432.post-13402935149712982722013-02-17T22:36:23.314-05:002013-02-17T22:36:23.314-05:00Michael T. In 1976 I created a Spirit parody, called the Wraith for the "ground-level" comic Quack! However I also published an underground comic in 1974, Amazing Adult Fantasies (aka New Paltz Comix #2) that included Brian Buniak's Spirit parody, The Sprite. Will Eisner did contact us, thinking The Sprite was a continuing feature. Once we told him it was a one-shot parody, all was forgiven.Doccomixhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16484184396575779728noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6066888134509330432.post-86821436560937943332010-08-09T00:33:16.950-04:002010-08-09T00:33:16.950-04:00Michael T.
