After your latest reply, I checked my scan again. Apparently I don't have the full issue on this specific book, so "Return of the Blue Gorilla" has eluded me. Thanks for clearing this up!Chuck Wellshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04529750105224374839noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6066888134509330432.post-72072773684600437922012-08-08T18:48:34.227-04:002012-08-08T18:48:34.227-04:00Chuck,

See the last feature on http://www.comics.org/issue/251234/ "Return of the Blue Gorilla".<br />Thanks!Darcihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01598465647270663106noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6066888134509330432.post-8341073607517084932012-08-07T08:29:49.338-04:002012-08-07T08:29:49.338-04:00Darci, you are diligent in pointing to that other ...Darci, you are diligent in pointing to that other gorilla-centric story, but sadly after ferreting out the mystery myself, I have to err on the side of caution. "The King of the Gorillas" was the title of the latter tale from White Princess of the Jungle #5 (which was posted here in the Catacombs back in 2010). The ape in question is clearly referred to as Garth, not Karth, and while that might easily be overlooked, the color of his fur is different as well. In fact the lead heroine had undergone a name change since the earliest issues. "Taanda" had become "Tarinda" with no visible alteration in her four-color appearance, so perhaps confusion is the order of the day!
