This one by far is my favorite that's been released out of all 52. Dunno, it just really caught my eye and just kept me hooked the entire time.Dr. Frenzyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15185042706640480221noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6066888134509330432.post-81362820323282928392011-09-18T10:04:44.498-04:002011-09-18T10:04:44.498-04:00Well I certainly do hope that you continue to read...Well I certainly do hope that you continue to read and enjoy any titles, series, or characters that appeal to you; despite what I may have to say about them.

That's what comics are there for and that's what it's all about!Chuck Wellshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04529750105224374839noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6066888134509330432.post-21519199088799469772011-09-17T10:04:02.884-04:002011-09-17T10:04:02.884-04:00I'm new to reading comics, basically because t...I'm new to reading comics, basically because there was so much I didn't know where to start. I got the new Deathstroke and Batman and Robin and I enjoyed them and can't wait until the next issue :P

Just putting my opinion out thereDr. Frenzyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15185042706640480221noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6066888134509330432.post-90509593013474707172011-09-16T12:30:51.690-04:002011-09-16T12:30:51.690-04:00Booksteve, I'm pretty sure that's the whol...Booksteve, I'm pretty sure that's the whole point of Red Lanterns and I'm curious to see how long that can carry a title whose protagonists aren't particularly heroic. A similar twist is what is interesting about Green Lantern, with Sinestro as the lead.

I didn't read Demon Knights and based my opinion solely on how the artwork appeared flipping through it in the shop.

Thus far the relaunches for veteran series Detective, Action, plus Batman and Robin has disappointed me the most. Those books feature horribly bad artwork. I tried to read a friends copies, but the visuals actually prevented me from doing so. Justice League was a mess for a number of reasons. Lee has drawn books in the past that were entertaining (X-Men, early WildC.A.T.S.), but since he left Marvel in the 1990s; I've grown increasingly tired of him. Certainly nothing after "Hush" has grabbed me.Chuck Wellshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04529750105224374839noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6066888134509330432.post-39552312361413193632011-09-16T07:22:01.235-04:002011-09-16T07:22:01.235-04:00I found RED LANTERNS to be almost pornographically...I found RED LANTERNS to be almost pornographically violent and DEMON KNIGHTS thoroughly incomprehensible. DETECTIVE COMICS was vile, JUSTICE LEAGUE and ACTION just stupid.

I liked BATWOMAN---beautiful art!, BATMAN & ROBIN and, surprisingly, RESURRECTION MAN.

The rest I looked at and they did absolutely nothing to make me want to read them.Bookstevehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09797445163866512849noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6066888134509330432.post-17278562149956335622011-09-15T13:48:41.520-04:002011-09-15T13:48:41.520-04:00The problem is that there simplya ren't fifty-...The problem is that there simplya ren't fifty-two top drawer creative teams available to make this type of endeavor work in the first place. Rather than try to predict which of these books fail to register with a large enough audience to stick around, I prefer to do what I'm doing and give feedback based on how each of these titles strikes me "fresh" off of the stands.

It is interesting to me that with all that Dan DiDio, Geoff Johns and Jim Lee have had to say in support of this massive marketing effort, they appear to have built in a major "cheat" for extricating their fictional universe from the "nu-52" if it all blows up in their face.

Or have you missed the cameos by the mystery chick in each of the first issues?Chuck Wellshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04529750105224374839noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6066888134509330432.post-27989856690910593232011-09-15T11:56:10.278-04:002011-09-15T11:56:10.278-04:00I predict relatively early cancellations for Grift...I predict relatively early cancellations for Grifter and Resurrection Man. I also predict short life spans for at least a couple of the Green Lantern books. I think that bubble is aboutto burst, especially since the GL movie flopped.Robert McKinneyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04009267445695054953noreply@blogger.com
