"The Deep Pit" / "The Phantom Airmen" (St. John;1953)

I promise you that a few of the artists who worked on St. John Publishing's Strange Terrors #6 (Jan.1953), will be revealed before the end of the month, I just haven't gotten around to posting those stories yet.

Both of today's features, "The Deep Pit" and the single page bonus strip, "The Phantom Airmen" are by unknown creators, but that doesn't detract from the pleasure of reading these golden age gems.

Just like yesterdays tale, "The Deep Pit" touches on subjects like greed, revenge and the unintentional fallout from an unfortunate inheritance.

Tomorrow another "Scream Queen" earns a space in the Catacombs as this weeks "Gal" Friday selection and I have a "ghostly" interview (with a twist planned for this Sunday).
