DC acquires rights to The Badger

In a joint announcement late this morning, Dc Comics Editor-in-Chief Dan Didio and writer/creator Mike Baron revealed that Barons' cult hero, The Badger has won the "Battle for the Cowl" and would be replacing Bruce Wayne as The Batman in all DCU titles effective immediately.

Baron said, "Yeah! All of the Batman Family characters are putzes and Norbert Sykes could lick all of them with one hand tied behind his back."

DiDio added, "I think that the fans will really respond to this change [since the "real' Batman is dead] and that once the Badger debuts in this summer's "Blackest Night" event, the DC Universe will never be the same again. The Badger will also be exclusively appearing in his own All-Star, adult-oriented series. We are cancelling Detective Comics due to poor sales and that was the best direction to take this character in"

Baron snorted at this remark, "Hell no! I insisted that Badger be given the same treatment as Quitely's Superman dreck."

Wayne, after you fell for my other prank, I just had to slap this one together in response to your worries about the Badger.
