Here is a terrific tale from Dynamic Comics #1 (Oct 1941); originally published by Chesler. "Origin of the Black Cobra" introduces Jim Hornsby as the heroic Black Cobra and his nemesis, The Professor. The Black Cobra next appears in Captain Flight #6. The character was later reworked with a different identity and costume.
