Joe Kubert Tribute [Double Feature]: "Last Chance" / "The Piltdown Man" (St. John; 1954)

With the sad news about the passing of industry legend Joe Kubert, I’ve decided as a tribute to the man, to post a pair of short stories from Tor #4 (July 1954); originally published by St. John. These tales are from the same issue as my recent Tor post called “Red Death”, and as a heads up, an even longer "Tor" adventure still remains from this issue (which will be posted in the Catacombs eventually). Tor himself stars in “Last Chance” and in the regular series back-up strip Danny Dreams of “The Piltdown Man” (my own added title) each written and illustrated by Mr. Kubert.
