It's October, and for some reason I felt like a sci-fi post today, but at least this nifty late golden age thriller seems cut from the jungle girl genre too. "The Flame Goddess" was originally published by Avon in Strange Worlds #3 (June 1951); ably illustrated by Sid Greene. AC Comics later reprinted it in Barbarians and Beauties #1 (1990). The Catacombs acknowledges "The Digital Comic
Museum", as the source of this classic comic story. Note: The
copyright for this issue, its contents and artwork belongs to the original
publisher and/or creators and is reproduced here solely for entertainment
purposes. Enjoy!

Hi, Chuck:
FYI, "The Flame Goddess" originally-appeared in Avon's Slave Girl Comics #2 in 1949.
The Strange Worlds appearance in 1951 is a reprint.
A number of stories in the first few issues (including the Crom the Barbarian tales) first ran in other titles before appearing in Strange Worlds.
Cool! Thanks for clearing that up, and for stopping by.
I ran this story on my FOUR COLOR SHADOWS blog nearly two years back and it is STILL the most popular piece I have ever run!
Steven, I thought that I had seen this story elsewhere, but couldn't pin down where. I've had scans of Slave Girl Comics for some time, but not this specific tale, so I had to have seen it over at your blog.
It may have been a favorite of your followers, but you've run plenty of excellent stuff in a wide variety of genres. Thanks for stopping by!
